This image reminds me of the years spent living in the Mara and the many hours spent searching high and low for the elusive leopard, Nalango. One early morning, I found her in the undergrowth, I could so easily have passed her by. It was early morning and the light was pouring in through the trees. In wildlife photography you sometimes just get lucky – your subject in the right place with the perfect light. The softness of the colour of this image and the fact that you are peeping into her world is what makes it my favourite image of her and brings back many happy memories of my time spent with her.
