Growing up on safari with his father, Max had the privilege of experiencing East Africa’s wilderness from an early age. Having followed in his father’s footsteps as a professional guide, he continues to do so, camera in hand, and aspires to create powerful visuals to showcase Africa’s magical wildlife and create awareness of the threats to its future. After finishing school in Kenya, Max spent time in Cape Town studying photography and filmmaking and has produced a number of short films which reflect his expertise and flair. He has also worked as a guide and second camera operator in the Maasai Mara with BBC cameraman Luke Barnett. Max’s wildlife photography reflects his experience in anticipating animal behaviour, allowing him to take images from unusual and intimate angles.
